Last fall, my left hand was so cracked and raw, I couldn’t even close my hand to make a fist because my skin would crack open and begin bleeding. and helpfulness! Hilary C. (Rosacea Sufferer) PsoriasisAs you are aware, psoriasis patients are prone to very dry skin. With the skin being so dry the psoriasis scales catch on clothing causing it to snag, peel off and tear the good skin. This in turn causes the psoriasis sites to expand and grow in area. So it is important to keep the plaques, and all skin, moisturized. And being fair skinned I have to watch my time in the sun as this damages my skin even more making it a must to use a moisturizer.This winter I had bronchitis for 6 wks and was put on an antibiotic for a week, prednisone for 9 days and Advair for 2 weeks. Following the completion of the prednisone I went into a severe flare with the psoriasis, but thanks to the Soft-E-Lotion™ I was able to keep the skin from being so dry and the flare less intense than it might have been and less sore. It also eases the itching thus cutting down on the scratching and spreading of the disease. I appreciate the fact that this is fragrance-free as fragrances will sting, burn and irritate the psoriasis sites. So many of the psoriasis products given to psoriasis patients are greasy, do not absorb well into my skin so they come off on my clothes, staining the clothes and not helping the skin. This product does not do that. It is absorbed rapidly thus unable to be wiped off. Cuts of any kind will turn into a new psoriasis site but I have noticed that if I apply some of the lotion on a cut right away the cut seals up faster and psoriasis does not form in that area.
